The Library
A member-led initiative turning donated books and toys into a shared community space for children and families.
"Lots of families can’t afford new toys or books, so The Library idea was born."
Zoe
How it started
Conceived during the pandemic, The Library was initially meant as a temporary project, a third space where children could safely play and their parents experience some respite from the pressures of lockdown. Hosted by the local community centre it was important the venue be easily accessible during what was an extremely challenging time. The Library has since found a permanent home in the new community centre.
Our Partners
Since opening, over 120 families have borrowed books and toys through The Library.
